The consortium "RESTORE Health by Advanced Therapies", which is coordinated by the Berlin-Brandenburg Center for Regenerative Therapies (BCRT), submitted the proposal for the FET Flagship preparatory action phase on 18 September 2018. RESTORE is supported by more than 250 stakeholders from science, industry, non-profit organizations and patient representatives throughout Europe and beyond (USA, Asia), underlining the importance of Advanced Therapies for the scientific and public society.
The European Commission (EC) are creating FET Flagships to enable new approaches for cooperative research in Europe. They are science- and technology-driven, large-scale multidisciplinary research initiatives. The aim is to attract the best scientists and to establish long-term centers of excellence in Europe leading worldwide in their field. In case RESTORE stands successfully through this round the EC will support the initiative with EUR 1 million for a year to prepare for the competition's final round.
